Barlo: Planned takeover of Irish competitor
European plastic sheet producer Barlo Group plc intends to takeover another competitor. It is planned to acquire Irish competitor Athlone Extrusions plc. for Euro 56 million. The company made a cash offer of 1.20 euros per share for the Athlone-based sheet and film extruder. Athlone Extrusions´ directors recommended accepting the offer, calling it “fair and reasonable.”
