BPI: Shutdown of production and distribution plant
Leading European film manufacturer British Polythene Industries (BPI) is closing a production plant in Workington with 50 employees and three distribution centres in Newcastle, Birmingham und Nottingham with 25 employees altogether. These steps should contribute to save approx. GBP 1,55 million every year to achieve a total annual saving of GBP 10 million, according to chairman Cameron McLatchie.
