Plas Mec: New PVC dryblend mixer
Plas Mec Srl, Italy has recently developed a new batch dryblending system for PVC powder which promises faster, more efficient cycles. Called the CombiMix the high-intensity mixing chamber is shorter and fatter than in standard mixers, which means the blade tips travel faster while mixing the same volume of PVC powder, so frictional heat develops faster. The cylindrical cooling mixer is water-jacketed not only on the sidewalls, but also on the lid and end caps for faster cooling.
