Atofina: European market leader in PVC compounding
French PVC producer Atofina is Europe’s leading compounder of PVC, according to a study by the British market research group Applied Market Information (www.amiplastics.com ). EVC and Solvay, Belgium and Norsk Hydro are in second to fourth place. In fifth place is the independent PVC compounder Saplast. Despite the strong market presence of the large PVC producers, AMI points out that the 1.5 m t/y market is actually dominated by small, independent compounders.
