Macro Engineering: Representation of Czech line of slitters and printers
An agreement between Macro Engineering & Technology Inc. and Soma Engineering SRO, Czech Republic,brings Soma’s printing and converting machinery to North America for the first time. Soma builds slitters and rewinders as well as six- and eight-color flexographic printers. They’re built with “German quality” but at more competitive prices, a Macro spokesman said. At a recent open house, Macro demonstrated and sold a Compact model Soma slitter. The Compact model runs at 1000 ft/min and makes up to 25-in.-diam. slit rolls or 40-in.-diam. parent rolls.
