Conair: Expansion in Europe
Just a year after opening new sales offices in Germany and France, Conair of Pittsburgh, USA, has made several more moves to solidify its position in Europe. Conair claims to be the only company serving the European marketplace with a complete line of auxiliary equipment for plastics processors. According to John Vandenbergh, managing director of Conair Europe, the company has seen steady growth despite continued softness in the market. On the continent, Conair Europe cemented its position in Poland, a growing plastics market, with the appointment of Wes Macko as agent for that country. Mr. Macko, a Polish national, recently relocated to Poland after spending 10 years as a Conair product specialist in the U.S.
