NDC Infrared Engineering: Gauge measuring for thinnest OPP films
A new near-infrared thickness gauge from NDC Infrared Engineering,USA, is specially designed to measure cast and OPP films as thin as 2 microns (0.04 mils). Clear films that thin are difficult to measure with NIR because of surface reflections or optical-fringe interference. NDC’s new TFG 710 gauge solves this problem by using two NIR detectors side by side, sending light energy through the film twice to identify the effect of reflections.
