GE Plastics: US$ 1mil facility upgrade in Malaysia
GE Plastics Malaysia will invest US$1mil this year to upgrade its multi-walled polycarbonate sheet manufacturing facility in Klang, Malaysia. GE Plastics South-East Asia managing director Kyu-Hwan Cho said part of the investment included provision for developing its employees’ skills. “We believe that the enhanced employee skills and technology upgrades will help improve production quality and manufacturing efficiency,” he said at the opening of GE Plastics’ multi-wall polycarbonate sheet extrusion facility by International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz in Klang. The 70,000 sq ft facility in Klang is highly automated and employs 30 workers.
