Thermo Electron: Purchase of EGS Gauging
Thermo Electron Corp., a major supplier of analytical instruments, has acquired EGS Gauging, a measure of web gauging and control instruments. Thermo Electron already supplies thickness-measurement and coating-weight gauges for steel and aluminum, and this acquisition expands its capabilities into plastics web gauging. Now called Thermo Electron, the former EGS remains in Wilmington.
