Significant Extrusion Throughput Rate Increase Foaming NatureWorks Ingeo® Biopolymers with Turbo-Screws® Technology
Plastic Engineering Associates Licensing, Inc. (PEAL) is pleased to announce that as a result of further NatureWorks’ Ingeo® resin foam trials, PEAL’s technical team has increased the throughput rate for Ingeo® biopolymer extruded foam by an impressive 40% on a 4.5” x 6.0” tandem extrusion system.
During the last quarter of 2008, the technical team from Plastic Engineering Associates Licensing, Inc. (PEAL) conducted further NatureWorks Ingeo® biopolymer foam trials for the purpose of further increasing the already impressive throughput rate achieved on 4.5” x 6.0” tandem extrusion systems.
PEAL expects further and significant throughput rate increases as the Turbo-Screws® technology continues to advance the state of the art of Ingeo® biopolymer foam extrusion.
Turbo-Screws® technology for Ingeo® biopolymer foam extrusion is commercially operating and is available & ready for the foam food packaging industry today. PEAL is a preferred equipment supplier to NatureWorks LLC and Turbo-Screws® technology has been recognized by NatureWorks as the preferred technology for foam extrusion of NatureWorks’ Ingeo® biopolymers.
